Lady Lawley Cottage
Lady Lawley Cottage is a “multi functional facility catering for families and children with the most severe disabilities and clinical needs. It accommodates children who are the ‘hardest to place’ because of the extreme nature of their problems.”
Funding provided by the ACT enabled them to create a position for an occupational therapy assistant to work on a one-on-one basis with the children in the care of Lady Lawley Cottage.

Family Training Institute
This fledgling organisation based in the Goldfields was established with a mission “to support and assist the family unit through education in life principles and to encourage and foster support of parents and children in order to preserve the family unit.”
The Family Training Institute was established to co-ordinate family-centred programs aimed at addressing the root causes of the breakdown of family relationships. The Family Training Institute secured suitable premises from Curtin University in Kalgoorlie and approached the Australian Children's Trust for seed capital in the form of a donation to enable and facilitate the delivery of these programs to members of the community surrounding Kalgoorlie.
Foodbank
Foodbank operates as a not-for-profit organisation that collects, stores and distributes food to people in need in the community. It also works with the Department of Health to educate the community on healthy nutrition, and runs breakfast clubs for disadvantaged children. This gives children who would have gone hungry the opportunity to have a healthy start to their school day.
The Australian Children's Trust donated $30,000 towards transportation costs to progress the Breakfast Club to reach the more isolated communities in remote areas such as One Arm Point.
